Jazz lovers will have a rare opportunity to hear British composer Will Todd’s exciting Mass in Blue, presented by the Llewellyn Choir on 28 October. Mass in Blue is a jazz setting of the Latin Mass, for choir, soprano soloist and jazz trio, and with its fusion of styles was Todd’s breakthrough work. Also on the program will be Todd’s Jazz Missa Brevis, a shorter setting of the Latin Mass embracing a variety of jazz styles.
Featuring the Llewellyn Jazz Combo and with soprano soloist Sonia Anfiloff, this program from the Llewellyn Choir is sure to excite any lovers of jazz.
